Those who arrive earlier (2:40 pm) will be treated to the guitar music of Tony Birkel. In addition to Tony Birkel’s guitar-accompanied vocal, the harmonies of the Comte sisters will again be featured with their selection from the musical “Waitress”. Leo Kovar will recite some of his poetry and there will be speech offerings of Kirsten Bell and Braxton Small. Libby Aschoff will share the voice that earned her a place in the 2020 High School Honors Performance Series at Carnegie Hall in New York City Jan.30-Feb. 3. Singer guitarist Annette Bailey with Mistyn Kozisek on fiddle will add a country sound to the concert. Vocalist Gabe Haberman will be a welcome newcomer to this annual performance and the Good Ol’ Gospel Singers will close out the afternoon with a lively set by Mosie Lister. A reception downstairs in the social room will be hosted by United Methodist Women following the concert. The Nebraska Arts Council and the Butler County Area Foundation Fund give annual grants to the B.C.A.C. and Butler County Arts Council events would not be possible without the support of many area businesses and schools.
