I was ordained a priest in 2009 and have served at three parishes in the city of Lincoln: Saint Teresa, Blessed Sacrament, and Saint Joseph. I later served as pastor of Sacred Heart Church in Roseland, Nebraska, along with its mission parish, Assumption. During that time, I also taught theology classes at Pius X High School in Lincoln and St. Cecilia Middle School and High School in Hastings.
From 2013 to 2018, I served as the Assistant Pro-Life Director for the Diocese of Lincoln. I continue to be involved in post-abortion healing ministry by assisting with Rachel’s Vineyard retreats and Project Rachel. Most recently, I served for eight years as the Chief Administrative Officer at Lourdes Central Catholic School in Nebraska City.
I grew up on a farm near Humphrey in northeast Nebraska, where my parents continue to raise corn and soybeans. I have one brother and five sisters, who are also some of my closest friends. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, hiking, and biking.
After graduating from Humphrey Saint Francis High School, I earned a bachelor’s degree in wildlife biology from the University of Wyoming. During my senior year of college, I heard God’s call to the priesthood. Following seminary formation, I was ordained a priest in May 2009. In 2016, I completed a master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln to prepare for serving as a Catholic school administrator.
The calling to the priesthood has been both humbling and deeply rewarding. Through every challenge, God has poured out even greater blessings. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the faithful of Saint Mary and Assumption Parishes and the students, families, and staff of Aquinas Catholic Schools.
