Ten Aquinas Catholic speech competitors qualified for State Speech held on March 16th in Kearney. State Qualifiers were Noah Grady, Lacie Hartman, Natalie Kovar, Maggie Svec, Tate Hain, Stellan Wessling, Luke Reiter, Lilly Collins, Bella Fontenot, and Violet Schmid.
The competition was fierce, but four events were honored by placing within the top six. Aquinas Junior Tate Hein placed fourth in Oral Interpretation of Poetry and Oral Interpretation of Humorous Prose. Junior, Luke Reiter placed sixth in Extemporaneous Speaking. Aquinas OID (Oral Interpretation of Drama) team: placed sixth.
